• Riddle: This one's actually a true story from high school. Math was my least favorite subject. And for geometry, I had the most boring teacher. I'd sit in the back of the class, pull my hood down, and nod off. The problem was every single time the teacher would say the word "adjacent" in his low, monotonous voice, I would instantly startle awake. Very annoying. There was no other word he said that startled me awake to the extent of "adjacent." Why was this?
